After my post on From Paris to Cabot and the flooding in downtown Cabot, the clean up effort made great headway on putting things back to normal. I’m sorry to report that severe thunderstorm last night undid much of that good work. . . and we’re expecting more to come this weekend.
Harry’s Hardware, the Cabot Village Store, and the Cabot Garage, all in downtown Cabot were all hit hard again, as well as the roads the road crew had been working so hard at getting back in shape. Please stop by and wish these folks well. The businesses remain open, so we can still purchase their goods and services.
If you’re near Cabot and want to help, The Cabot Village Store is looking for help cleaning up flood damage, building concrete forms, and mixing concrete for a retaining wall. 563-2438 (Bobby Searles). Also sand bags are arriving at some point today. Stop in and help, and bring your shovel.
